One of my Favourites !!

A Stunning and very rare Dutch Serpentine fronted Writing Bureau. Now Repaired , Reborn and ready for her new loving home .

As always she was stripped to bare wood, a few repairs carried out . Primed then knocked back for a super smooth paint base.

Hand painted in Fusion mineral paint Midnight Blue with Cashmere internal writing compartment and upper internal cupboard , which has fully reversible shelves , one side being Midnight Blue and the other Cashmere . Liquid Gold detailing to outer edges of shelves.

The worn leather writing panel was removed and replaced with a fabulous Japanese themed paper as were the little internal drawer fronts an desk internals .

All with co- ordinating liquid gold detailing .

The handles are not original to the piece as 3 were missing but fortunately i had kept 4 pairs from a Dutch Bombe chest several years prior so they were perfect for this piece !

These have been cleaned, primed & sprayed gold .

Drawer internals cleaned & oiled .

Top bookcase locks and has key .

Top removes for transportation.
